Images

Pick the folder your images are in. Windows is asking you for a folder, so the dialog lists folders only and shows no files; that is normal, the folder is not empty.

The dialog shows folders only and no files, because Windows is asking you for a folder. Double-click a folder to go inside it, or select it without opening to take the whole folder.

After you choose, your browser may ask whether to "upload" that many files to this site. That is Chrome's own standard wording: allowing it only opens the files to the browser itself, and no image is sent to our server.

Timing

When each image appears on screen. No guessing: every image needs its own start time.

If the file name is the timestamp you need to upload nothing else. Dashes separate the time units, a dot separates the sub-second part: 00-05 = 0:05, 01-02-03 = 1:02:03, 00-00-07.966 = 7.966 seconds. AutoFlow's timestamped download saves in exactly this format.

There is no timestamp after the last image, so you set its length.

Audio (optional)

Add a voiceover and the project length follows it.

The audio stays on your computer too; only its name and length are used.

How to use it

Windows

  1. 1Quit CapCut completely.
  2. 2Extract the downloaded zip into a folder. Do not run it from inside the zip, the vdna folder has to sit next to it.
  3. 3Double-click capcut_place.cmd. If Windows warns you: More info > Run anyway.
  4. 4The script looks for your image folder itself. If it prints the right one, press Enter; if not, drag the folder into the window and press Enter.
  5. 5Open CapCut, your project is in the list.

macOS

  1. 1In CapCut, create a new EMPTY project, then quit CapCut completely. CapCut on macOS will not open a project it did not create, so we write inside yours.
  2. 2Extract the zip.
  3. 3Double-click capcut_place.command. If macOS blocks it, open System Settings > Privacy & Security, press "Open Anyway", then double-click again.
  4. 4If macOS asks for folder access, allow it, otherwise the script cannot find your images.
  5. 5The script looks for your image folder itself. If it prints the right one, press Enter; if not, drag the folder in and press Enter. Then pick the project from step 1 in the list.
  6. 6Open CapCut, the project you created is filled with your images.

On Windows CapCut does not copy the images into itself, it reads them where they are; move the folder later and the clips go blank. On macOS the images are linked inside the project (no extra disk space on the same drive), because CapCut cannot read them where they sit; there, moving the folder does not break the project.
